BrittanyFarmer.com is a blog dedicated to all things Christian and controversial. While it has a lot to do with being Christian, anyone is invited to join the conversation.
The blog itself was inspired by my experience as an Evangelical young woman who made an abstinence pledge at 15, broke it at 18, and is now living with her boyfriend. The whole painful, dramatic, guilt-ridden, but beautiful ordeal opened my eyes for the first time to a world where there are more questions than answers, and where “Christian” can mean a lot of different things.
I would like “Christian” to mean a lot of different things in this blog as well.
If this sounds a bit like you, then welcome. If this doesn’t , but you’re interested anyway, I welcome you too. Together, I hope we can start a more honest conversation about Christianity and how it actually plays out in our everyday lives.
But first, please understand this one thing: I’m not interested in teaching morals or bashing any church. Instead, this is a place for people like and not like me who are unsatisfied with certain cliched conversations and need an outlet. Or inlet–whichever you prefer.
In closing (or opening), welcome. I look forward to talking to you soon.
God bless.
